Boston (By Cruise Ship )

Norwegian Joy October 1st, 2022, 7 am to 4:30

Experiencing Boston by Cruise ship can be an exercise in flexible planning or hyper control by paying for a tour,if possible, I like to avoid planned ship tours. You will save money on your own, but you will be responsible for making sure you are back to the ship enough time to board.

My goal was to see highlights of Boston in less than 8 hours which would leave Hubby and me wanting to come back and see more. ou will need transportation away from the Port; there are the usual suspects plus Hop on Hop off Bus; we went with Lyft.

The Freedom Trail was the goal of our Boston adventure. did not see all the sites, on the Freedom Trail but the North End left us wanting to return to Boston.

We visited the Old North Church

Freedom Trail is marked in red throughout and the Old North Neigboorhoood offers lots of

tasty treats from a variety of time periods and cultural influence. Make sure you have cash, there are seemingly a lot of restaurants and food places cash only.

Yummy a must try as you walk around.

Make sure you wander the neighborhood there are wonderful marker of herstory and the unseen all around.

Tips for a pleasant day

  1. Have a neighborhood to focus your visit on.

  2. Have a theme for your visit. History Food

  3. Give yourself plenty of time to get back to the ship.

  4. Have a decent amount of cash on you.
